On a business level we justify our commitment to Twitter as a way to raise awareness that you can ‘fix it yourself’. The majority of appliance repairs are actually quite simple and don’t require a professional. For example: fitting a washing machine door seal or replacing a dishwasher spray arm. We also have a YouTube channel dedicated to ‘fix it yourself’ videos to help further this message. Our username is: esparesvideos.

The ‘real’ reason we tweet is simply that it’s fun. But that’s not what we tell our shareholders
